Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is working with the National Weather Service to prepare for a winter storm expected to hit the state starting Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. The National Weather Service forecasts a significant winter storm accompanied by dangerously cold temperatures from Friday night through the weekend.
