Willie Simmons, chairman of the Mississippi Transportation Commission, and Brad White, executive director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation, will provide an update at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, the department said.
The officials are expected to discuss the state’s capacity program, which the department said has received $1 billion in investment over the past five years.
