MDOT director names next highway capacity projects

Brad White, executive director of the Mississippi Department of Transportation, told SuperTalk Mississippi’s Mornings with Richard Cross on May 26, 2026, that Interstate 55 in Madison County, State Route 25 in Rankin County and Interstate 55 in DeSoto County are the next capacity projects in MDOT’s queue.

White provided updates on projects around the state during the interview, the station reported.

He thanked Mississippi’s congressional delegation and the state Legislature for providing funding to revive the capacity program, White said.

The comments came during White’s appearance on Mornings with Richard Cross on SuperTalk Mississippi, where he outlined MDOT’s near-term priorities, the station said.
