NEMCC Adult Education Graduate Becomes Pharmacy Technician

Shiloh McDonald, a 2024 graduate of NEMCC Adult Education, has earned pharmacy technician certification and taken a job at a pharmacy in Iuka, the program said.

NEMCC Adult Education said McDonald earned her high school equivalency diploma through the program while participating in the NEMCC WIOA Gateway Youth Program.

Since graduating, McDonald has continued to pursue her goals and invested in her career, the program said, noting that she now helps serve her community through health care.

NEMCC Adult Education said McDonald’s story illustrates that earning an HSE diploma can open new opportunities. The program encouraged other former students to contact their AE instructor or the College & Career Navigator to be featured.
