NEMCC Adult Education spotlights assistant director Kim Smith
NEMCC Adult Education highlighted Kim Smith, assistant director, in a staff spotlight, saying she sees adult education as a pathway to new opportunities and personal growth.
“Adult Education means giving people a second chance, a new beginning, and the confidence to move forward,” Smith said, according to the staff spotlight. “To me, it is more than helping students earn a high school equivalency or develop academic and workforce skills—it is about helping individuals recognize their potential and believe in what they can accomplish.”
Smith said she is honored to work in a field that removes barriers, opens doors and creates opportunities for lifelong growth, and that adult education allows her to meet students where they are and help them take the next step toward a brighter future.
NEMCC thanked Smith for her passion and dedication to the Adult Education program in the spotlight post, noting the program’s role in supporting high school equivalency and workforce skill development.
