Officials: Anchor Lake dam intact; about 30 homes evacuated

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency said it was on scene at the dam at Anchor Lake in Pearl River County.

The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality said the dam has not been breached and is functioning as designed in a high-water event.

MDEQ said water is currently receding at the lake.

MEMA said about 30 homes were evacuated as a precaution and that the agency posted photos of the scene.
