Public meeting set on U.S. 80 improvements in Brandon

The Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration will host an open forum July 14 to present conceptual designs and gather public input on proposed improvements to U.S. 80, the agencies said. The project covers the corridor from the Downtown I-20 interchange to College Street in Brandon.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brandon City Hall, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, Mississippi, MDOT said.

MDOT said attendees may join the meeting at any time during the two-hour session to view exhibits, ask questions and provide feedback on the conceptual design.
