Showers, storms expected ahead of cold front west of Mississippi River
Forecasters said showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of an approaching cold front Tuesday afternoon west of the Mississippi River.
A few of the storms may become strong to severe, with damaging winds the primary threat, forecasters said.
Forecasters said weak shear will limit the coverage of organized severe weather.
Any lingering activity is expected to weaken Tuesday evening as instability decreases across the Mid-South, forecasters said.
