Low-pressure system brings isolated rain west of Mississippi River; storms expected by tomorrow

A low-pressure system will produce isolated rain this afternoon, mainly west of the Mississippi River, forecasters said.

Shower and thunderstorm chances are expected to become more scattered to widespread by tomorrow, the forecast says.

The increased precipitation is forecast to continue into the early part of the week and affect the entire Mid-South, forecasters said.
