A DMS safety message referencing the Goo Goo Dolls and the band’s performance at the Brandon Amphitheater urged drivers not to linger in the left lane, the message said.
The message used song titles and lyrics to make its point. “You may not be a ‘Black Balloon’, but you’ll certainly be the dark cloud raining on everyone’s smooth traffic flow parade if you don’t ‘Slide’ on over to the right lane once you’re done passing,” the message said.
The message included several hashtags and a playful tone, noting the concert and encouraging courtesy on the road. It included tags such as #GooGooDolls, #Iris, #90sRock, #LiveMusic, #ShareTheRoad and #DriveSmartMS, the message said.
“Give a Little Bit of consideration & share the road, friends!” the message added, urging drivers to move right after passing to keep traffic flowing, the message said.
