An advisory says traffic on I-55 at State Route 570 (Exit 18) in Pike County will be placed in a head-to-head configuration in the southbound lanes starting at 2 p.m. June 29.
The advisory said the traffic pattern will remain in place through Wednesday, July 8, to allow bridge work associated with the I-55 resurfacing project.
The advisory asked drivers to use extra caution while traveling through the head-to-head traffic area.
The advisory included links to additional information and a traffic map for motorists.
