The Mississippi Department of Transportation said at 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2026, that State Route 43 between Lake Road and Justin Drive in Rankin County has reopened after crews repaired a failed pipe.
Crews completed the work earlier than expected, the agency said.
Earlier, MDOT issued a traffic advisory saying both directions of the highway were temporarily closed until approximately 5 p.m. Monday while crews worked on the repair. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes, the agency said.
MDOT posted the updates on its social media channels and included links to more information and a traffic map, the agency said.
