JTRAN Drivers Set Strike for Monday If Contract Not Reached, Union Says

More than 60 JTRAN workers will strike at 4 a.m. Monday, July 14, unless a contract is reached, the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1208 said in a statement Friday.

The union said it provided 72 hours’ notice in the statement, which was posted Friday, according to the Mississippi Free Press.

The announcement was first reported by the Mississippi Free Press.

The union’s statement did not provide additional details about the negotiations or demands, the Mississippi Free Press reported.
