Koinonia to invest $7.7 million in Drew, rehab 40,000‑sq.-ft. plant and create 18 jobs
Plastics manufacturer Koinonia will invest $7.7 million in Drew, buying and rehabilitating a 40,000-square-foot facility, preparing about 150,000 square feet of surrounding concrete and creating 18 jobs over the next five years, SuperTalk Mississippi reported Oct. 13, 2026.
According to SuperTalk Mississippi, Koinonia plans to manufacture products that serve the region’s agricultural chemical packaging industry, with plans for additional applications in the broader packaging space.
The Mississippi Development Authority is providing financial assistance for the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive program, and Sunflower County is also contributing, the report said.
Gov. Tate Reeves welcomed the investment, saying it will create jobs, put existing industrial assets back to work and strengthen local economies. Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director PJ Waldrop said the company’s investment creates room for expansion as demand grows and that MDA is proud to support companies planning long-term growth in the state, the report said.
Officials told SuperTalk Mississippi the company plans to begin initial operations by January 2027.
