Analysts say Jeff Lebby’s history of producing big numbers at the quarterback position offers cause for optimism for Mississippi State’s first-year starter, Kamario Taylor, according to Brian Hadad and Carlo Barone.
Hadad and Barone compiled an aggregate profile of Lebby’s quarterbacks and examined past production under his play calling, the analysts wrote. Their breakdown highlights trends they say could benefit Taylor in his first season as a starter.
The pair used those trends to produce season-end statistical projections for Taylor, Hadad and Barone said. They framed the numbers as projections rather than guarantees.
Hadad and Barone noted the projections hinge on variables such as team health, supporting personnel and in-game circumstances, the analysts wrote. They said the breakdown provides benchmarks to watch as Taylor and Mississippi State progress through the season.
