MDOT officials visit I-10 widening and SR 67, SR 57 projects on Gulf Coast

Mississippi Department of Transportation officials visited multiple Gulf Coast construction sites, including the I-10 Widening Project in Harrison and Hancock counties and work on State Route 67 and State Route 57, the agency said.

In a Facebook post dated Oct. 15, 2026, MDOT said Executive Director Brad White and Southern District Transportation Commissioner Charles Busby were joined on the site visits by Federal Highway Administration Administrator Sean McMaster, U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith and other officials.

MDOT identified the projects as the I-10 Widening Project in Harrison and Hancock counties, State Route 67 in Harrison County and State Route 57 in Jackson County. The agency said each project “will enhance safety, increase capacity and improve corridors across the Gulf Coast.”

The Facebook post said MDOT was “honored to show how we are the driving force of a strong economy.”
