Miss. higher education agency probes network security incident affecting student aid services
The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning said it is investigating a network security incident that disrupted services at the state Office of Student Financial Aid and is working to determine whether sensitive information was accessed by bad actors.
Officials said students can still submit applications for aid securely through the Mississippi Aid Application portal on the Office of Student Financial Aid website.
“Our priority is to return our systems to full functionality as quickly as possible. Updates will be provided as available,” the agency said.
