Mississippi interdiction unit seizes 376 pounds of meth, 82 pounds of marijuana
PONTOTOC COUNTY, Miss. — The Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Interdiction Unit said it seized 376 pounds of methamphetamine, 82 pounds of marijuana and two kilograms of powder cocaine in Pontotoc County.
The unit conducted a routine commercial vehicle inspection on Interstate 22 on May 17, 2026, officials said. The inspection resulted in the seizure, the department said.
The department provided the information to WJTV, which first reported the seizure. Officials did not immediately release additional details about the vehicle, any suspects or potential charges, the report said.
