Mississippi State is preparing its offensive line to contain Minnesota pass rusher Anthony Smith, who is considered one of the top defensive linemen in college football, Brian Hadad wrote.
Hadad wrote that a year ago, matching up with an elite pass rusher like Smith would have been enough to derail Mississippi State’s offensive game plan.
He examined whether the Bulldogs have upgraded their front five enough to handle Smith and the rest of the Minnesota Golden Gophers’ defensive front.
Hadad outlined how Mississippi State’s offensive line hopes to limit Smith’s impact and said the matchup will be a key test of the Bulldogs’ improvements heading into the season.
