Angel Reese to pause ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast for six months after Atlanta Dream Game 7 loss
Angel Reese announced she will take a six-month break from her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast after the Atlanta Dream lost Game 7 of the WNBA Finals to the Golden State Valkyries, Fox News’ Outkick reported Nov. 3, 2026.
Outkick reported Reese told followers on social media she needs to dedicate the offseason to herself and plans to go to Florida to spend time with her boyfriend, Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. The outlet said she listed rest, lifting weights, building her brand and finding “peace” among her plans.
Outkick noted Atlanta reached the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013 but dropped Game 7, 68-63. The outlet reported Reese played 33 minutes in the deciding game and scored eight points on 3-for-7 shooting, with 12 rebounds and four turnovers.
Over the seven-game series, Outkick reported, Reese committed 27 turnovers, which the piece identified as a WNBA Finals record. After the loss, the outlet said Reese declared she had “nothing to hang my head about” and vowed to keep pursuing a championship.
Outkick also recounted items from Reese’s podcast over the past year, saying she had complained that her WNBA salary could not cover an $8,000 monthly rent, lectured Cam Newton on paying bills and taken repeated swipes at Caitlin Clark fans. The outlet reported Reese said she plans to return to the podcast after her Florida stay.
