Caitlin Clark was honored before Friday night’s game for reaching 1,000 career points, but the Washington Mystics beat the Indiana Fever 104-102 in overtime, according to the WNBA.
Clark reached the 1,000-point mark in the Fever’s season opener against the Dallas Wings. The Fever recognized Clark’s milestone before tipoff. Early in the game, Clark assisted on a basket by Sophie Cunningham to extend an Indiana lead, according to the official play-by-play.
Clark finished with 32 points, seven assists and four rebounds, and hit a three-pointer with one second left to force overtime, according to WNBA statistics.
