Charlie Crist files to run for St. Petersburg mayor
Charlie Crist has officially entered the race for mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida. The former governor filed paperwork to run for the city’s top position on Monday.
Crist announced his candidacy via a video posted on the social platform X, where he held his documents and said, “Well it’s official. I’m now a candidate for mayor of St. Pete. God bless you all.”
It is unclear when the election will take place or what platform Crist plans to run on. Crist previously served as governor of Florida from 2007 to 2011 and has run for various offices in the state.
