Nick Daniels, president of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, praised the Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday for a recent hiring surge aimed at video game players, Daniels told NewsNation.
Daniels said gaming skills “absolutely” translate to working as an air traffic controller, according to NewsNation, The Hill’s sister company.
He described the FAA’s recruitment effort as an “innovative approach,” NewsNation reported.
The comments were made in an interview with NewsNation. The FAA did not provide a statement in the report cited by Daniels.
