Esper says Trump right to reinstate naval blockade of Iran

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Monday he agreed with President Trump’s decision to resume a U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports.

“I agree with the president, I think it’s the right move to reinstate the blockade,” Esper said on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront.”

Esper, who led the Pentagon during Trump’s first term, made the remarks during the television interview, according to the network.
