Family files lawsuit alleging Texas abortion ban led to pregnant woman’s death
The family of Tierra Walker, 37, has filed a lawsuit in Texas after Walker died of preeclampsia while about 20 weeks pregnant.
CBS News reported Sept. 16, 2026, that the suit names Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and other doctors and alleges the state’s abortion ban led to Walker’s death. The report was filed by Jericka Duncan.
