FIFA has given member associations and clubs until Sept. 19 to approve a proposal to sell shares in its most prestigious tournaments, Margaret Fleming of Front Office Sports reported.
The proposal, referred to in some coverage as FIFA Forward Enterprise, was unveiled about a month after the World Cup and has prompted negative reactions from soccer organizations around the world, Fleming wrote.
Fleming reported that national associations, leagues and clubs have raised concerns about the plan and its potential impact on governance and competition.
