German FIFA World Cup fan invited to White House by U.S. envoy

A FIFA World Cup fan known as FreddyLA7 received a public invitation to the White House on Wednesday from Nick Adams, a controversial supporter of former President Donald Trump and current Special Presidential Envoy for American Tourism, Exceptionalism and Values.

The fan, who gained attention online after Germany’s elimination from the tournament, said he had deleted his social media accounts following the loss, according to Adams.

Adams, who posted the invitation on social media, did not specify whether the fan accepted the offer or plan to visit the White House. The invite drew mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the gesture and others criticizing it.

The White House and Adams did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
