Flood sirens sound in Comfort, Texas, as Guadalupe River rises rapidly

Flood sirens sounded early Thursday in Comfort, Texas, as the Guadalupe River rose more than 30 feet within three hours, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The rapid rise in water levels has raised concerns about potential flooding. Authorities warn that the storm could produce even more rainfall than last year’s deadly Fourth of July floods.

Residents are urged to stay alert and follow local emergency instructions. No injuries or damages have been reported as of now, but officials remain vigilant.
