Fox News newsletter spotlights campus disputes over parental authority, pronouns and foreign funding

Fox News’ “Campus Radicals” newsletter on Wednesday highlighted a series of campus controversies, saying parents were being left in the dark about classroom lessons and teacher training that critics say challenges parental authority.

The newsletter reported that a Washington mother pulled her children from school after a Pride lesson was shown in a music class without notice, and that a school district in the state was reviewing an employee’s celebratory remark about the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

It also said the U.S. Department of Education had opened a probe after an allegation that a teacher required same-sex students to kiss, and that a Kansas teacher told the newsletter she will continue using students’ preferred pronouns as the district faces a federal investigation, the newsletter reported.

Fox News columnist Liz Peek wrote in the newsletter that former President Donald Trump is “starving the machine” that creates what she called “America’s socialist revolutionaries,” the newsletter said. The newsletter also said television host Piers Morgan called an Ivy League student’s refusal to work “for a Jew” “brazenly antisemitic.”

The newsletter said Harvard topped the nation in foreign cash receipts and reported that Sen. Tom Cotton pressed for a probe into China-related funding. All of the items were described in the Fox News “Campus Radicals” newsletter, which compiled the accounts and reactions.
