Pete Crow-Armstrong involved in heated altercation with White Sox fan during Cubs game
Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong was involved in a heated, profanity-filled confrontation with a female White Sox fan during Sunday’s Crosstown Classic. The incident happened near the outfield stands during the Cubs’ 9-8 loss to the White Sox.
According to reports, Crow-Armstrong had just attempted a difficult, leaping catch at the wall when the incident escalated. A female fan dressed in White Sox gear reportedly began heckling him aggressively. Crow-Armstrong responded with a profanity, saying, “suck my f–kin d–k b—ch,” prior to approaching her and exchanging words.
Video footage shows the 24-year-old outfielder walking toward the stands and shouting profanities at the heckler. Crow-Armstrong told reporters he reacted after the fan started talking trash to him. “Some lady decided to start talking s–t and I felt the need to say it back,” he said.
This is not the first time Crow-Armstrong has attracted controversy for his comments. Earlier this season, the California native criticized Los Angeles Dodgers fans, claiming they attend games mainly to take pictures and look good rather than support the team.
Despite the confrontation, White Sox fans celebrated their team’s comeback victory. Crow-Armstrong emphasized that if fans are going to heckle, they should be prepared for a response.
