Grassley calls on Trump administration to finalize kratom rule
Sen. Chuck Grassley called on the Trump administration on Oct. 2, 2026, to finalize a proposed federal rule limiting the sale of kratom, saying the substance should not be sold at gas stations, vape stores or “anywhere,” The Hill reported.
The Hill described kratom as a plant with opioid-like properties that can be bought over the counter and said Grassley urged the administration to issue a final rule promptly.
