Immigration and Customs Enforcement is planning to spend up to $2 million on robot “dogs” to assist its agents, a Department of Homeland Security funding document says.
The funding document, posted Thursday to DHS’s Acquisition Planning Forecast System, said the agency could spend between $1 million and $2 million on dog-like robots to support agents’ operations, according to the posting.
The document was listed in the DHS Acquisition Planning Forecast System, the department’s public procurement notice board, the posting shows.
