Iran’s parliament said it is reviewing a plan to ban ships linked to the United States, Israel and other “hostile countries” from transiting the Strait of Hormuz and to charge a toll to other vessels, the parliament said.

The Trump administration has rejected the plan, the administration said.

The parliament did not immediately provide further details on how the ban or the toll would be implemented or on any timetable for action.
