U.S. Central Command said in a social media post Thursday that U.S. forces intercepted Iranian attacks on three Navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The command said the exchange occurred as U.S. Navy destroyers transited the strait.
“Targeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking U.S. forces,” the U.S. military said in the post, attributing the actions to U.S. forces, U.S. Central Command said.
