Philadelphia Eagles lose 27-10 to Washington after surrendering 27 unanswered points

The Philadelphia Eagles lost 27-10 to the Washington Commanders, giving up 27 unanswered points and dropping their sixth straight, Fox News reported Nov. 2, 2026.

Philadelphia built a 10-0 lead after Jake Elliott’s 40-yard field goal and a three-yard Saquon Barkley touchdown following a Washington turnover, but the Eagles did not score again, Fox News reported.

Washington answered late in the first with a 56-yard field goal by Drew Stevens. Jayden Daniels connected with Stefon Diggs on an eight-yard touchdown in the second quarter, and Stevens added a 39-yard field goal before halftime to make it 13-10.

In the third quarter Dorance Armstrong strip-sacked quarterback Tanner McKee and Charles Omenihu recovered the fumble. On the next play Daniels hit Treylon Burks for a 53-yard gain, setting up a 25-yard Stevens field goal.

In the fourth, an apparent 36-yard Elliott field goal was nullified by an illegal-formation penalty on left tackle Jordan Mailata; Elliott missed the retry. Stevens later hit a 42-yard field goal with 3:43 remaining. Commanders cornerback Rasul Douglas intercepted McKee on the next possession, and Rachaad White had a 33-yard run and a one-yard touchdown late, with Austin Ekeler converting the two-point attempt to make it 27-10.

Daniels finished with 217 passing yards and one touchdown with no turnovers. Fox News reported Tanner McKee committed two turnovers, Barkley was held to 30 yards on 13 carries, and the Eagles have no answers without Jalen Hurts, the outlet wrote. The loss dropped Philadelphia to 2-6; Washington improved to 2-4-1.
