Texas voters split 50-50 on stopping fraud vs. protecting access, survey finds
Texas voters are evenly divided over whether stopping voter fraud or protecting access to the polls should be the priority, a new survey found, the Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center at Texas Southern University said Tuesday.
The center released findings showing respondents were split 50-50 when asked to choose between preventing voter fraud and ensuring eligible citizens are not denied the right to vote, the release said.
The survey results illustrate a sharply divided electorate on election issues in Texas, the Barbara Jordan center said.
