Decision Desk HQ projects Lahn, Sand to meet in Iowa governor’s race

Decision Desk HQ projected businessman Zach Lahn and State Auditor Rob Sand will face each other in November for Iowa governor, Decision Desk HQ reported.

Lahn, who was endorsed by Turning Point Action, won the Republican primary, defeating four other challengers including Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), Decision Desk HQ reported.

Feenstra had endorsements from President Trump and retiring Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Decision Desk HQ reported.

Sand ran uncontested, Decision Desk HQ reported.

The projected result sets up a November general election contest between Lahn and Sand, Decision Desk HQ said.
