Trump says U.S. strike killed Venezuelan gang leader

President Donald Trump announced late Friday that U.S. Southern Command launched a strike that killed the leader of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump described the action as a “swift and lethal kinetic strike,” according to his post.

He identified the man killed as Hector Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, also known as Niño Guerrero, Trump said.

The announcement was made on Trump’s Truth Social account, where he posted the details of the operation, according to his statement.
