Trump urges South Carolina voters to reject GOP candidate for attorney general

Former President Donald Trump urged South Carolina Republicans on Thursday to vote against David Pascoe in the upcoming GOP primary for state attorney general.

Trump criticized Pascoe, a longtime prosecutor who switched parties last year, calling him a “total fraud,” according to a statement. He also described Pascoe as a “RINO” and a “lifelong Democrat who previously endorsed Joe Biden,” citing the candidate’s party change and past endorsements.

The primary race has drawn attention as Trump actively campaigns to influence state-level races. Pascoe’s campaign has not responded to the recent comments. The South Carolina primary is scheduled for June 14.
