U.S. envoy says confident trilateral talks will yield ‘good resolution’ to Ukraine war

Special envoy Steve Witkoff said Sunday the United States is confident trilateral talks will produce a “good resolution” to the war in Ukraine after he and Jared Kushner met with officials in Kyiv, Witkoff said.

The visit to Kyiv marked the first time Witkoff and Kushner traveled there to negotiate an end to Russia’s yearslong war, Witkoff said.

Witkoff described the discussions as part of trilateral talks aimed at resolving the conflict and expressed optimism about the outcome, saying the United States was confident in a “good resolution,” according to his remarks.

Kushner is the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump. Witkoff provided the account Sunday; no additional details about participants or next steps were included in his comments.
