The Ripley Public Library is hiring. The Northeast Regional Library system announced Tuesday that it is taking applications for a part-time library clerk to work at the Ripley branch on North Commerce Street, and the application window will stay open until the position is filled.
The opening is a chance for Tippah County residents who enjoy books, computers and helping the public to get a foot in the door at one of downtown Ripley’s busiest community spots.
Ripley Library Clerk Job Requirements
According to the library’s announcement, applicants must meet these requirements:
Be at least 18 years old
Hold a high school diploma or GED
Be able to use computers and the internet (listed as mandatory)
Be available to work Saturdays
Hours for the part-time position are scheduled on an as-needed basis, and Saturday hours are required. The Northeast Regional Library is an equal opportunity employer.

No closing date was given. The library said applications will be accepted until the job is filled, so interested applicants may want to apply soon.
