Tre Hargett Visits Hardeman County Early Voting Office

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett stopped by the Hardeman County Election Commission in Bolivar on Thursday morning, Oct. 22, as Hardeman County early voting continues ahead of the Nov. 3 State and Federal General Election. The visit was one of many Hargett has made to county election offices across Tennessee during the early voting period, according to Hatchie Press.

Hargett was joined during the stop by Hardeman County Administrator of Elections Amber Moore, state Sen. Page Walley, and Election Commission member Carl Gibson.

Secretary of State Touring Tennessee Election Offices

As Tennessee’s chief elections official, Hargett has been traveling the state while voters cast early ballots. He has served as Secretary of State since 2009, when the Tennessee General Assembly elected him as the state’s 37th secretary of state. Lawmakers re-elected him to the post in 2013, 2017, 2021 and 2025.

His stop in Bolivar came as local election workers handle the steady flow of early voters and prepare for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Hardeman County Early Voting Hours and Location

Voters in Hardeman County, including Middleton, Bolivar, Whiteville, Toone, Saulsbury, Grand Junction and Hornsby, can still cast an early ballot. Here are the details:

  • Dates: Through Thursday, Oct. 29
  • Location: Hardeman County Election Commission office, 227 Lucy Black Road, Bolivar
  • Weekday hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday hours: 9 a.m. to noon
  • Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central time

Tennessee voters must show a valid state or federal photo ID at the polls. Sample ballots are available through the Hardeman County Election Commission, and voters are encouraged to review theirs before heading out so they know what races and questions are on the ballot.

What’s on the November Ballot

The Nov. 3 general election includes state and federal races, and Tennessee voters will also decide on proposed amendments to the state constitution. Voters who want to read up on those amendments before casting a ballot can find our earlier explainer linked below.

Voters with questions about registration, polling places or early voting can contact the Hardeman County Election Commission office in Bolivar during business hours.
