The annual Tippah County Tournament basketball schedule begins this week, hosted by Falkner but played at the Ripley Event Center. The defending champions are Pine Grove Girls and Ripley boys.
Games begin on Thursday January 3rd with a good slate of games. To kick of the tournament, Falkner and Walnut girls play in a rivalry game at 5 pm. That is followed by Blue Mountain vs. Walnut boys and the first day is capped off with what should be a good game in Falkner vs. Pine Grove boys.
Friday nights games will have the #1 seed Ripley boys play the winner of Blue Mountain/Walnut followed by the #1 seed Pine Grove girls taking on the winner of Walnut/Falkner. The evening finishes off with the Ripley Girls taking on Blue Mountain.
The Championship matches will be on Saturday beginning at 6 pm.
