All Tippah County schools to release early today due to severe weather

All Tippah Schools will release early today due to the threat of severe weather.

High winds and storms are expected.

From South Tippah:

Due to the threat of inclement weather the STSD will dismiss school at 11:45 today.

From North Tippah:

North Tippah will dismiss at 11:45 today due to weather concerns.

Superintendent Scott Smith says this will allow ample time to transport students safely.

Mississippi is under a severe weather threat, with Tornado activity possible. Most area school will dismiss early.
