Changes, cancellations announced for Ripley utilities, park commission

Several changes and cancellations have been announced by the City of Ripley due to the Coronavirus.

From Mayor Marsallis:

Out of respect for the authority of Governor Reeves’ declaration of emergency, Ripley City Hall and Utility Office will accept payments via the Drive Through, Drop box, or Online only until Monday March 23. The City of Ripley Park Gym will be closed until Monday March 23.

No Utility cut-offs for non-payment will happen until Monday March 23. At this time, Ripley Park League baseball and softball practices scheduled at the People’s Bank SportsPlex are cancelled until Monday March 23.

Please practice the good health and hygiene procedures that have been discussed at length elsewhere. Please use common sense to avoid becoming a carrier or a patient!

This comes after both the President and Governor issued a state of emergency.
