Preliminary hearing set in case of man who shot Mississippi state trooper
A preliminary hearing has been set in the case of Troy Anthony Eaton who is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Mississippi State Trooper Josh Smith.
Eaton has been held without bond since October 1st.
The hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. on November 15th in Union County before Circuit Court Judge John Gregory
Eaton is claiming he shot officer Smith in self defense.
