Prentiss Co Sheriff’s Dept make arrest on breaking and entering suspect.

On May 26th, 2022 the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a male trying to make entry Into a residence on County Road 1101.

Deputies arrived, made contact with suspect. Hestel Ray Smith (of Booneville was charged with Simple Assault of a Police Officer.

Along with other misdemeanor charges.

Bond was set at $10,000.00 on the felony charge.

The case will be presented to the Prentiss County Grand Jury in August.
