Western Lee County in northeastern Mississippi…

Southern Benton County in northeastern Mississippi…

Western Prentiss County in northeastern Mississippi…

* Until 1145 AM CDT.

* At 1104 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ecru, or 8

miles northwest of Pontotoc, moving north at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…

Tupelo, New Albany, Pontotoc, Ripley, Baldwyn, Trace State Park,

Saltillo, Guntown, Blue Mountain, Ecru, Jumpertown, New Harmony,

Troy, Etta, Banner, Blair, Pinedale, Keownville, Randolph and

Gravestown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
