Tippah County law enforcement official shoots, kills man who attacked him in church Sunday

According to Tippah County law enforcement, South Half Constable Keith Bullock was involved in a fatal shooting on Sunday, August 11th.

While Bullock was at church, a man pulled a knife and used it on the officer who was then forced to shoot him.

Bullock went to the hospital with what was described as minor injuries.

The name of the other individual involved has not been released yet. Bullock is set to be in the November election for the Constable post after running unopposed in the primary. The shooting happened in the jurisdiction of the City of Ripley police who said they are planning on making an official statement later this afternoon.
