Tippah County listed as “at risk” by regional economic council

Tippah County is one of several hundred counties in the United States covered by the Appalachian Commission, whose job it is to monitor the health of their region, among other things. According to their most recent report, Tippah County is an “at risk” county for 2020.

Tippah County is in the bottom 25% as far as income with a poverty rate of 22.8%.

Several counties covered by the Appalachian Commission have seen income during the time frame covered in the last report.
